I have 15 new pieces (including Catskull Rosebud) up at Graven Feather this month as part of their residency show Made Here. Four of the first participants in the studio/gallery’s new residency program are showing, and it’s fascinating to see how we’ve all incorporated printmaking into our work. Everyone had different levels of press experience, and different ways of working. For me it was great to have the chance to bring printmaking back into my practice, as I’ve mostly been painting since I left school. The show’s up all month, so there’s lots of chances to check it out. The reception is July 25th, and most of the artists will be in attendance.
I’m also very excited to have the super talented Stacey Boag come take some photos of my work the show this month. Soon you’ll be able to see my work in decent lighting and not on my studio table. What a concept! Stacey’s an amazing portrait photographer, particularly of children. Be sure to check out her site if you’re looking for some fabulous photos of your little ones.
